Welcome to Wardner

Wardner, Idaho is a small residential community located in the Silver Valley near the gondola base of the Silver Mountain ski and recreation area, formerly known as the Jackass Ski Bowl and Silverhorn Ski area.

In 1885 the Bunker Hill and Sullivan Mine was discovered on an outcropping near the south end of Wardner by Noah Kellogg and his famous jackass. The Wardner charter was granted in 1902 and was named after Jim Wardner, an entrepreneur.

If you are interested in attending City meetings, you are always welcome. Meetings are held at Wardner City Hall, 649 Main Street on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. If a meeting has to be changed from its normal time, proper notice is posted on the City Hall Notice Board. This board is located on the outside of the Wardner City Hall.

The Wardner City Hall is not open on a regular basis, however, you can call 208.786.0118 and leave a message on the City answering machine for the City Clerk to return a call.
